Hot air naturally rises, building up in the top of roof spaces. Electric or wind powered ventilators suck large volumes of air out by force. Roof valves let air naturally rise through its opening, without the need for wind or electricity.

Wind turbines are large and can be easily seen, but Roof Valves are low profile and don't have any moving parts. When placed at the top of a roofs ridge, they maximise airflow without any noise or power consumption.

Roof Valves are available in Clear or Black finishes. Clear Roof valves let light into your roof space, helping you maintain a healthy attic and prevent termites.

The unit is constructed from long life, UV stabilised and impact resistant ABS Polymer. It comes complete with an aluminium flashing that makes the unit very easy to install on tiled or metal roofs.

Roof Valves are ideal for use with our DraftStoppa TopHat. TopHats are a self sealing exhaust fan that removes hot and moist air from a room, but doesn't allow air, dirt and debris to come back through. Once connected to a Roof Vent with ducting, TopHats can vent outside via the roof with no added strain on the motor or re-entry of air. Learn more about DraftStoppa TopHats here.

Applications

• As an air replenishment point for roofs with sarking and small or no eaves.
• As an exhaust vent when the unit is fitted above a ceiling exhaust fan.
• For air intake or exhaust from air conditioning systems mounted in the roof.
• To provide nominal ventilation for a hot or moist roof space.
